Increase my faith?

Luke 17: 5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.

“Increase my faith”. I have prayed that more times than I can count. “Help me to believe you for this.” “Help me to believe you for that.” But when should we stop asking and start stepping out in the faith we already have? The answer is now. You and I have enough faith at this moment to do exactly what Jesus has called us to do.

When the disciples asked for their faith to increase, basically Jesus told them to step out in the faith they already had. He told them they could actually change the course of nature if they believed it would be done.

What are you praying for? Or maybe a better question is “What are you lacking the faith to pray for?” What or who needs a touch of God in your life? You’ve been given everything you need to reach out and touch that person; that situation; that mulberry tree.

Let’s stop asking and start acting.

What do you want me to do for you?

Jesus asked the blind man on the road to Jericho, “What do you want me to do for you?”

Wasn’t it obvious? The man was blind! Still, Jesus wanted this blind beggar to express his specific needs to the Lord.

What needs to you have? What burdens are you carrying? Your shoulders were never made to carry that load: His were.

Express your needs to the Lord. Ask him.

“What do you want me to do for you?”

Only GOD can, but God CAN!

‘So That’ Living

We were made for a purpose. You were made for a purpose. God has intentions to use you in ways that no one else can be used.

Everything you do, everyone you touch, every part of your life has been designed so that. You know who you know so that you can touch them in a unique way. Where you live? It’s so that you can impact those around you. Where you shop, where you work, who your children know? All part of so that living.

And life experiences? They’re also part of your so that life. Nothing you’ll ever experience, either good or bad, is wasted. God will use every tear, every pain, and every joy for blessing in both yours and other’s lives, so that.

Are you getting the point? You are who you are, live where you live, work where you work, and know who you know for a distinct purpose. As you begin to discover the reality of that truth, God can use you more fully. Not only will you see every part of your life as merely living a good life, you’ll see it as a purpose; an opportunity, a blessing.

Nothing about you is an accident, and definitely nothing is a mistake. God will not use you in spite of, he will use you because of. The master designer has designed you for an amazing purpose: so that.

Embrace it!

Psalms 149:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

Praying With Confidence

Do you know that you can have the same access to God’s throne room as Jesus did? As you pray, you can pray with confidence that he hears you and is listening to your prayers. Just as he listened to those our Lord prayed.

Not only does he hear us when we pray, but the bible is clear that he actually loves us as much as he loves the Lord Jesus! That might be hard to believe but it’s true. We don’t have to be perfect, we just have to be his child and have a living relationship with our Abba Father.

So, what’s burdening you today? What’s heavy on your heart? Pray on. Enjoy your time in prayer with God. He enjoys his time with you!

Hebrews 5:7
During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

John 17: 20,23
“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message.”
“I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.” (NLT)
